Named after the apples Nagano prefecture is famous for — Ringo means “apple” in Japanese — Ringo Cottage is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and enjoy Hakuba.
Located in the peaceful Meitetsu area, we’re just a short drive from all of Hakuba’s major ski resorts, making it the perfect spot for winter sports lovers and nature seekers alike.

Parking is available for up to two vehicles. A 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended during the winter months.

Everything you need is here — full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, fresh towels, bedding, and bathroom essentials. Just bring your snow legs and enjoy the mountains.
Q and A
How many people can stay at Ringo Cottage? Ringo Cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, each with two single beds. On the ground floor, there is a small bedroom with a single bed. Please note: the ground-floor single room is small and narrow and may not be suitable for elderly guests.
What are the check-in and check-out times? Check-in is from 3:00 PM. Check-out is by 10:00 AM.
How close is the nearest supermarket? The nearest supermarket is just a 4-minute drive away. There’s also a 7-Eleven convenience store about a 12-minute walk from the cottage.
Is there car parking available? Yes, there is parking space for 2 cars. During winter, we strongly recommend using a 4WD vehicle.
Is there free Wi-Fi? Yes, Ringo Cottage has free Wi-Fi available for guests.
Can I send my luggage in advance? Yes, we’re happy to receive your luggage via Kuro Neko. Please contact us in advance so we can provide the correct delivery address. Your luggage will be waiting at Ringo Cottage when you arrive.
Is there a shuttle bus to the ski resorts? Yes, the nearest shuttle bus stop is approximately a 15-minute walk from the cottage.
What appliances and amenities are provided? The kitchen has everything you need for your stay, including a toaster oven, rice cooker, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave etc with all the essential cookware, pots, pans, and utensils. Just bring your ingredients and cook up a feast!
Is smoking allowed inside the cottage? No, smoking is strictly prohibited inside Ringo Cottage.
Are pets allowed? Sorry, pets are not allowed at Ringo Cottage.
Terms and conditions 1. Check-In and Check-Out • Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and may incur additional charges. 2. Cancellation Policy • Full refund for cancellations made 60 days or more before check-in. • 50% refund for cancellations made 30–59 days before check-in. • No refund for cancellations made less than 30 days before check-in. 3. Use of Property • The property is to be used for personal accommodation only. • No commercial use, parties, or illegal activities are permitted. 4. Damages and Security Deposit • Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or appliances during their stay. • A valid credit card must be provided on arrival (as per Booking.com policy). • Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the provided card. 5. Identification Requirement (Japanese Law) • In accordance with Japanese law, we are legally required to collect a copy of the passport from all non-resident guests staying at Ringo Cottage. • This must be provided at the time of check-in. • Failure to present valid identification may result in cancellation of your booking without refund. 6. House Rules • Guests must adhere to the house rules listed below. • Breaches may result in eviction without refund. 7. Liability • The property owner is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or loss/damage to personal belongings or vehicles during your stay.
House Rules 1. Be Respectful • Please keep noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings, and be considerate of our neighbors. 2. Damages • Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay. Associated costs will be charged to the card used at booking or check-in. 3. No Smoking or Vaping Indoors • Smoking, e-cigarettes, and vaping are not allowed inside the property. Please use the designated outdoor area and ashtray provided. 4. Registered Guests Only • Only guests included in the reservation are allowed to stay. Please notify us in advance of any additional visitors. 5. No Shoes Indoors • Kindly remove shoes upon entry and use the slippers provided. 6. No Pets • Pets are not allowed anywhere on the property. 7. Security • Please lock all doors and windows when leaving the property and report any issues immediately. 8. Check-Out Time • Please check out by 10:00 AM to allow time for cleaning before the next guests arrive.
